This has been a crazy eventful week, I'll sum it up the best I can:
Monday: my companion was sick. I set a new record for me in cleaning the house in 1 hour. Hna García felt better and we went to the zone activity at the Stake Patriarch´s house. Carne asada, I think YES! Our investigator Lalo (who works for the Patriarch) was awestruck at the number of missionaries there 😊
Tuesday: My companion is still sick. We go to the doctor and stay in the house the rest of the day. I go crazy from sitting around and cut out a lot of pictures from The Liahona.
Wednesday: We teach tithing to Lalo who tells us he has already been paying it for the last month. I feel profoundly grateful for the blessing to be able to teach such a humble and faithful man.
Thursday: We do intercambios with Tlahue and Hna Mlynek and I attempt to go to Xochitlan only to find the highway is closed because they cut off the water to the town and the people are mad and I really didn´t understand what was going on. We make it there walking.
Friday: Mostly uneventful. We teach 3 lessons in transport and meet a lot of really weird people..... including one very creepy man in Tlahue
Saturday: I have a sef-pitying breakdown in the morning and my companion lovingly helps me snap out of it. We make a suprise visit on some sisters and find some really saddening disobediance. We clean up their house and help them set goals to clean up their act (with lots of love, of course). We have a long talk with their district leader about how to help them. We get to see Woman's confernce!!!
Sunday: All our plans fall through and we are guided to an awesome woman who accepted a baptism date!
So that missionary life 😄
I love you all!
Love,
Hermana DeFranco
