HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELDER CLARK DEFRANCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this week, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVY!!!!!
This week Hna Palacios and I decided that it would be utterly impossible for Heavenly Father to bless us any more than He already has. Remember how I said we have recieved many tender mercies in the last few weeks? The Tender Mercies Marathon continues!!!! Saturday the Mixquiahuala Ward had 4 baptisms. Carlos and Tania were baptised in the morning. (Despite their fears, they passed their interviews with flying colors). We had the baptism right after Mutual so all of the youth were there and they gave the talks and sang ¨Soy un hijo de Dios.¨ It was beautiful and the Spirit abounded.
In the afternoon, the Elders had 2 more miraculas baptisms of two people who have had to overcome incredibly difficult circumstances. It was a beautiful day. To make it even better, we ate with the Stake President who gave us pizza and Root Beer Floats!!! 4 very happy and very full missionaries.
I don´t really have the words to describe our Zone Conferences. They were incredibly spiritual. Hna Palacios and I taught about unity, and I personally learned a lot. The Godhead gives us a perfect example of unity. We should be united with Christ like his is with the Father. We should be united in all things, companionships, families, the church. It is a godly attribute and requieres no small amount of humility. President and Sister Egbert taught us about gratitude and I learned how my daily actions are a demonstration of my personal gratitude to God. Pres Egbert hit us with a spiritual punch to the gut and while Hna Palacios and I were crying he asked us to stand and tell everyone why were were grateful. It was pretty hard to talk to both zones while bawling my eyes out but I felt the Spirit moving within me teaching me about the Atonement and all I have to be greatful for.
I really do not know why I am so blessed. I have an amazing family, I have the blessing to know the true gospel, I am a missionary in the best mission in the world in a wonderful area, I have a mission president who gives everything he is and has to the Lord and to us, I have so many blessing I can't even begin to list!!! And more than anything, I have a Father who made a perfect plan for me and a Savior who made it possible.
I love you all.
Your homework for this week, study the lyrics of ¨What Child is This?¨
Love,
Hermana DeFranco
p.s. Today they told us about cambios. I´m staying in Progreso (7.5 months!) and Hna Palacios is leaving. I don´t know why President always wants to take away my companions, but a such is the mission 😊
That´s my zone, TEZONTEPEC! Our Zone Leaders gave us Cokes with our names on them. :)
