We had Stake Conference this week! It was awesome. We recieved great instruction, were exhorted, and inspired. Elder Walker of the 70 came which made me very happy since I first met him almost a year algo when I was in Tulancingo and his remarks then still inspire me. It´s been a good, pretty normal week here in Constitución. We got to teach Gloria a few times over skype and she finally made it back to Pachuca for Stake Conference. Es campeona :)
We´ve had to leave a few investigators (which is always sad and painful, because one always has such hopes for everyone) so we are focusing on finding some more. Yesterday a young man, Cruz, came with us to do visits. We like working with him because he is a sweet young man with a beautiful testimony. Also, he wants to leave on a mission in a year and a half so we´ve got to get him ready! Anyway, the point is, our appointments had fallen through along with our 4 backup plans so we were trying to figure out who to teach when he mentioned a less active member who lived near him. We went to look for him and after knocking very loudly for a few minutes the smilest two people I have ever met in my life opened up and let us in. Joel hasn´t been to church in years (he became less active because he started working on sundays, and just never went back) and Delhy comes from a less active family. Her older siblings were baptised, but by the time she was 8 they were inactive. We taught them and the Spirit was very strong. They are going through some hard times and told us the fact that they were home and we knocked on their door was a miracle. We are excited to keep teaching them! Thank you Cruz! Right there, the importance of members, even the young ones :)
Oh, by the way, it´s cambios again! Hna Guzmán and I are staying together here :) These cambios are very important because almost 20 elders and 1 hermana (Hna Cebreros) are going home. Most of the Elders have been great leaders in the mission and will be missed a lot.
I love you all!
Love,
Hermana DeFranco
