So it´s been a pretty rough week, for a number of reasons. Despite of that, or actually, because of that, I've been able to learn and grow a lot. We've been struggling to find people to teach and I've been very frustrated. I used to think that maybe when I had more experience on the mission, it would be easier, but it's not. It's just plain not. But that´s ok. A successful missionary is a diligent missionary, and that can't be measured, just felt. And you can't really be diligent if everything is easy.
In my time here in the Constitución Ward I've come close to the Trejo Family and this week they suffered a loss. Angie, who has dealt with kidney failure for the past 3 years passed away, the second daughter to succumb to the same illness. So I got to go to my first Mormon funeral. It was a beautiful meeting but I think the most inspiring message was found on the countenances of the family. Her only son, a 22 year-old returned missionary spoke words of encouragement and exhortation to all of us. Families really are important, and they´ll only be eternal if we make them so.
Enough of that, time for the good news :)
Gloria: is still strong in the gospel and she and Raul are still overwhelmingly cute together.
The Pazarán Family: Jose Luis blessed the sacrament yesterday for the first time. They are happily sharing the gospel with everyone who will listen.
Lidus: is staying strong in the face of temptation and continues to learn and grow in the gospel.
Les amo! Be happy, that's what life is for
Con amor,
