I don't have much time to write right now because of stuff, but here's most of my letter to President Egbert this week.
We read in the scriptures that the field is white, all ready to to harvest." This feels pretty accurate right now for Actopan. Even with our sub-par finding efforts we still have quite a few investigators progressing towards making covenants with our Father in Heaven. This Sunday was a little disappointing though because only one of our investigators with a baptism date made it to church. We're going to continue to work with all of them though and try to figure out how we can help them. We are teaching two youths right now who really struggle with remembring to read and pray. However, they have a desire well beyond their years to repent and come to Christ. It's a beautiful thing to see. I do worry about them at church though. It's really hard for youth to accept a new person in their circle and it's really hard to go to a church where no one your age talks to you. We're working with the youth to befriend them.
I just want everyone to be able to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel. Obeying all the commandments is hard, I know. But life is so much harder without them. The Gospel just makes sense to me. I hope I can become the kind of teacher that can show my investigators how simple and beautiful the Gospel is. This means I need to study and practice and study and practice. And learn more Spanish...
I love you all! Stay strong my friends 😊
Love,
Hna DeFranco
