Heros are born, not made. I have been blessed with a life full of people who are heros to me. It´s never because they have super-human abilities, but that they try so hard and work so hard to be good people and they rely on the Lord to make up the rest. Parents, siblings, my mission presidents, companions, friends, thank you. My biggest hero, however, is someone who was a little better than all of us. He suffered every human weakness, he suffered every temptation, but never gave in. He saved me. That´s why I´m here, to that maybe I can help someone else meet my hero too and we can rejoce together.
Real conversion means you want to share this message with everyone who will listen. The Pazarán family has been bringing their niece Vale to church for the last 2 months. She has an awesome testimony. When we finally got the chance to teach her we challenged her to read the Book of Mormon, but she´s already been reading. We gave her the pamphet of the restoration, but she already had it downloaded on her phone. We invited her to pray and ask if if was true, but she told us that she already knows! She feels something different, she used to always require solid evidence for everything but she says that for some reason she is able to believe what she hears at church. She is developing faith! Her only obstacle to baptism is her dad who is very much in opposition to the church. Teaching people like here are the moments that make me turn my face to the skies and thank God for giving this life and the blessing to share this message.
We all have hard times, but I´ve learned that those are the moments that we can turn our face again to the skies and thank God for the chance to show our faith and diligence. After the hardest moments, come the grandest blessings.
Everyone struggles, but if there´s one thing I´ve learned from listening to EFY music almost every day it´s that those weaknesses and mistakes and sins don´t define you, they refine you.
Life is beautiful. Please keep Hermana Laguna and her family in your prayers.
